MAKES BREATHING EASY TO UNDERSTAND
The expanding and contracting movement gives children a clear visual cue for when to breathe in and breathe out.
The Mindfulness Magic Ball gives children a visual, hands-on way to practise slow breathing by following the ball as it opens and closes.
The expanding and contracting movement gives children a clear visual cue for when to breathe in and breathe out.
Holding and moving the ball turns breathing practice into something children can actively participate in.
Watching the ball open and close creates a simple point of attention during a few slower breaths.
Use it at home, in the classroom, before bedtime or whenever you want to practise mindful breathing together.
THE SCIENCE BEHIND IT
Breathing can feel abstract for children. A simple visual rhythm gives them something concrete to watch, follow and practise.
Watching the ball expand and contract gives children a clear signal for when to breathe in and breathe out.
Following the ball with their eyes and hands creates one simple point of focus during the breathing exercise.
Moving the ball slowly encourages the practice itself to feel unhurried and intentional.
THE HEART BEHIND IT
After experiencing postnatal depression, Jacqueline began looking more deeply at mindfulness and emotional wellbeing for herself and her daughter.
What stayed with her was that mindfulness did not have to feel complicated. Sometimes the simplest tools can make an idea easier to understand, especially for children who are still learning what it means to slow down and notice their breath.
“Mindfulness can begin with something as simple as one breath, one movement and one moment of attention.”
That thinking sits behind the Mindfulness Magic Ball. Jacqueline wanted to turn breathing into something children could actually see, hold and follow, making mindful breathing feel more approachable, playful and easy to practise together.
Open, close and follow the rhythm for a simple mindful breathing practice kids can understand.
Slowly expand the ball as your child breathes in.
Gently bring it back together as they breathe out.
Continue for a few slow breaths at a pace that feels comfortable.
Keep it nearby for simple breathing practice during everyday moments.
Use a few slow breaths as part of a quieter bedtime routine.
A simple way to pause and shift into a slower moment.
Use it as a gentle transition before moving on to the next thing.
Give children something visual and tactile to focus on while they practise breathing.
Easy to bring into classrooms, calm corners or guided mindfulness activities.
Compact enough to keep nearby for travel, waiting rooms or days out.
The Mindfulness Magic Ball, sometimes called a breathing ball or breath ball, expands and contracts to give children a visual, hands-on way to follow slow breathing.
