Teaching your littlies mindfulness strategies and activities can be lot's of fun too. Our Grounding Your Senses Mindful Activity is great to do right before school, before sports or anytime to set a more calm and positive tone.
Let's practice!
Focusing on what you observe with your own senses can help you become more aware of your surroundings. It really forces you to be/become present in the now and not get absorbed with/within your own thoughts. You can start by identifying 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell, and 1 thing you can taste. This activity will help ground your littly and bring calmness to their mind.
